The Value of Taking a Break

I was getting disillusioned with poker, sick of the bad beats and suckouts so I decided to take a break.

I went back to basics and reread Sklansky and Harrington and a new book by Erick Lindgren. This made me realise I had strayed from the path of optimum play and had been making a lot of bad decisions.

Now back playing I'm still making the occasional bad decision but making the money far more often.
